The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

The current financial crisis is just a top of an iceberg. The real problems are economic and political crises, which are beneath the surface, les visible and prime cause for all national and global problems. Any attempts to beat financial crisis without dramatic changes in corrupted and inefficient political system are doomed. Such action will only prolong ongoing crises and agony.

As Lord Acton said, “The issue, which has swept down the centuries, and must be fought sooner or later, is the people versus the banks.” Now is right time to address this issue. Until money masters are in charge no hope for changes. Therefore the hope that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which just passed the House of Representatives – “will jumpstart US economy and put more than 3 million people back to work” is desperate, inefficient and unproductive.

US need a system that is equitable and in the best interests of all concerned, which means getting rid of the corrupted political system and creating systemic change now. It is very unlikely such changes to be initiated from “top to bottom”. Unfortunately “bottom up” grass-roots social movements are still in their infancy without clear vision and mesmerised by “flexibility” of modern capitalism.
